VETRA

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Vetra is lifetime-value software for local business. Everything below is true for every customer; anything that belongs to one trade says so, and points you at that trade.

About Vetra

Operations software for independent local businesses. It runs on top of the POS you already have and turns the record that POS has been quietly collecting into repeat business.

AI powers three features — answering the phone, the website chat, and reading photographs of paper receipts. Everything else is ordinary, deterministic software, and we would rather describe it that way than call the whole thing AI.

No. We sit on top of what you already run. That is the entire design. Vetra runs on any POS — your register stays your register, nothing is ripped out and nothing is replaced.

Where a POS will not let us in, we say so on that trade's page rather than promising a connection that does not exist.

Auto repair, bars, restaurants and cafés, and liquor stores. Each has its own vocabulary, its own screens and its own answers, because a bar manager and a shop owner are not asking the same question in different words — they are asking different questions.

Start with your trade: auto repair, bars, restaurants and cafés, liquor stores.

Vetra, LLC was founded in 2026 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it is early stage. We have no customer counts, testimonials or case studies to cite, and we would rather say that than invent one.

What we can do is show you the product working on your own data before you sign anything.

Pricing & plans

Every trade has its own price and every figure below carries the trade it belongs to, so none of them can be read as somebody else's. The plan prices are per location, per month; bars are billed per slip instead, with no monthly fee at all.

  • Auto repairCore $399/mo No Contract, $299/mo on a 12-month commitment, or $3,000 as an annual prepay. Pro $499/mo No Contract, $459/mo on a 12-month commitment, or $4,788 as an annual prepay. Ultra is the multi-location tier above them, coming, and deliberately unpriced until it exists — we are not going to invent a number for it.
  • Restaurants and cafés$249/mo, one plan rather than a ladder, with 400 voice minutes included every month and $0.20 a minute past them.
  • Liquor stores$249/mo, likewise 400 voice minutes included and $0.20 a minute after that.
  • Bars — no monthly fee at all: 7¢ per accepted slip for the first 10,000 in a month, then 4¢ for the rest of that month. That is the founding rate and what the checkout charges; the list rate it is locked from is 10¢ then 7¢.

Each trade's own page carries its terms in full and a real checkout: auto repair, restaurants and cafés, liquor stores, bars. No setup fee, no onboarding fee and no per-text charge on any of them.

Core is the website chat widget, lead capture, the SMS handoff and the dashboard. Pro adds full inbound phone answering, retention campaigns and review requests.

What the phone agent actually does on each plan differs by trade — a shop's forwarding setup and a café's bundled voice are not the same mechanic. Your trade's page says which: the auto repair split is on the auto repair FAQ.

None. No setup fee, no onboarding fee, and no per-text or per-minute telecom charge. The bill is the same number every month.

Equipment financing, where a shop takes it, is a separate monthly payment to the lender and is never folded into the subscription line.

Cancellation

No Contract plans: give at least 14 days' notice before your next billing date — Dashboard → Settings → Cancel subscription, or email legal@usevetra.com. No phone call, and nobody is going to try to talk you out of it. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and no partial or prorated refunds are issued for unused days in that period.

12-month commitments cannot be cancelled early: you remain liable for the remaining monthly payments, and the term ends when it ends. Annual prepay is non-refundable once the service period has begun.

The full text is Terms section 7.

No. Service runs to the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and there are no partial or prorated refunds for the unused days inside it. You keep the product for the rest of that period.

There is exactly one, and it is an auto repair offer: the 30-day Lead Delivery Guarantee, for first-time No Contract subscribers at standard retail pricing. It is not a general money-back guarantee.

It is counted in leads that include vehicle information, so it does not extend to the bar, restaurant, café or liquor trades — those agree their own terms with us.

The conditions are specific and all of them bind: a 10-lead threshold, onboarding completed inside 3 business days of the first charge, a 14-day claim window, and one per shop for the life of the shop. Every one of them, written out, is on the auto repair FAQ; Terms section 7 is the full text.

Yes. Your shop data stays on file for 90 days after service ends, and inside that window reactivation is one click from the dashboard with nothing to re-enter. After 90 days it is a new signup.

The phone agent

It answers from your real data — your hours, your rates, your shelf. It picks up after hours and during the rush, when the phone would otherwise ring out.

When it does not know, it says so and hands the call to a person. Every price it gives is a soft estimate, labelled as one — never a guaranteed price, and never a figure it invented.

It transfers on request. If nobody is available it takes a message and texts you the details, so the caller is never parked in a loop and you are never guessing what they wanted.

Not today. English only.

Calls may be recorded and transcribed. The business using Vetra is responsible for its own state's call-disclosure law, including two-party-consent states — that duty is yours, not ours, and we would rather put it in writing than let it be assumed.

Website chat

Yes, from Settings → Widget: the knowledge base it answers from, which services are highlighted, and the tone it uses.

It redirects to a call or a form. It will not advise outside its knowledge base, and it will not invent pricing for a job it has no data on. An honest "I don't know, let me get you someone" is the strong answer, not the weak one.

Hardware

Yes, through the Zero-Markup Equipment Programfinancing, not leasing. The shop buys and owns the equipment and title passes to you, so there is nothing to return at the end of a term and nothing to hand back if you later stop the software.

It is an auto repair program. The terms, the underwriting and what happens to the payments if you cancel the subscription are on the auto repair FAQ and the hardware page.

Data & privacy

Supabase US-East. Postgres with row-level security, so your shop's data is isolated from every other shop at the database level rather than by an application check somebody could forget to write.

No. It is never sold and never shared for marketing. We do not permit vendors to train foundation models on it, and the sub-processors we use are named in the privacy policy.

Last four only, everywhere, forever. If a receipt photograph contains a full number the read is rejected and the extracted text is discarded.

The photograph itself is held encrypted, because that image is what makes dispute evidence and human review possible. Only the brand and the last four are ever kept as data.

No. We are not certified, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

We're not certified; we can put our encryption and access standards in writing. Ask and we will send them.

Support

Email avi@usevetra.com or use the Support tab inside the dashboard. We answer within a day, and usually within a couple of hours during business hours.

Step-by-step walkthroughs — installing the widget, testing the phone agent, changing a payment method — live in the help centre.

It is meant to be light. There is a dashboard for reviewing leads and status, and a text message whenever something actually needs you. Most teams are comfortable inside a day.

There is no training programme to sit through, and nothing about how you already run the place has to change to accommodate it.

Getting started

Pick your trade.

The price and the checkout live on each trade's own page, and you can start today. Rather talk it through first? Every page books a walkthrough with Avi — there is no sales team to route you through.
